Oddiko Secures $570.000 Investment with Behold Ventures and Windmill Game Invest.

Swedish game development studio, Oddiko, has successfully secured a $570.000 investment in their first funding round with prominent investors Behold Ventures and Windmill Game Invest. This initial round is set to expand further with additional angel investors soon to join.

This substantial investment will enable Oddiko to accelerate the full-scale production of their debut title, Beer and Plunder. The funds have already facilitated the expansion of their team, the scaling up of the game's scope, and the initiation of an exciting co-development collaboration with the Stockholm-based studio, Aurora Punks.

“We are thrilled to welcome such amazing and trusted investors and angels,” says Linda Davidsson, Studio Head and CEO at Oddiko. “Having the opportunity to leverage their experience and network will be a great benefit for us.”

Oddiko is developing Beer and Plunder, a co-op management adventure where players embark on a mythical quest to create the ultimate Viking pub. Players must work together to serve feisty customers, interact with a unique cast of villagers and battle creatures and enemies while exploring the island for rare ingredients.
“Seeing our investors excited about our vision and the project is fantastic, and we look forward to sharing that excitement with our players!” Davidsson comments.

Sigurlína Ingvarsdóttir from Behold Ventures shared her thoughts on the investment:
“I am extremely pleased with our investment in Oddiko. Linda and the team have impressed us, not only with a brilliant game concept, but also with their resilience and ambition. We at Behold Ventures couldn’t be happier to welcome Oddiko into our portfolio company family and I look forward to working with them to realize their grand vision for Beer and Plunder.”

“We are very happy to support another great studio from the Game Incubator in Skövde &  Gothenburg. Linda and her team show great passion and skill and we can't wait to see the reactions to their first game hitting the market”, says Daniel Rapp and Carl Bjerkne from Windmill Game Invest.
